Invest Region Leipzig's successful appearance at MIPIM 2025

Leipzig, March 21st 2025 - Together with the City of Leipzig, Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) is extremely positive about this year's trade fair appearance in Cannes. Thanks to the good cooperation with the private business partners MIB, Hines and OFB, Leipzig was successfully presented as a future-oriented and attractive business location at an international level.
During the trade fair, numerous discussions were held with potential investors, consulting firms and media representatives. The dialogue with the partner city of Hanover and other German cities such as Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart were particularly valuable. These talks helped to further strengthen the positive perception of the city and region of Leipzig and highlight the enormous growth potential.
Our press highlights at MIPIM 2025:
- Award from fDi Intelligence: Leipzig was honoured with a top 5 ranking in fDi's Mid-Sized European Cities of the Future 2025 in the FDI Strategy section.
- Interview with Asia Today: Michael Körner, Managing Director of IRL, emphasised the Leipzig region as an attractive business location for international investors in an interview with Areum Jong.
- Interview with MIPIM News: Clemens Schülke, Mayor of Leipzig, emphasised the region's future prospects in an interview with MIPIM News.
Special thanks also go to the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce, whose support has helped to promote and strengthen Leipzig as a business location internationally.
Conclusion:
It was important and right to be represented at MIPIM as Germany's most dynamic city and to present concrete examples such as the BioCity Campus, TechPark Leipzig, the Airport Industrial Park, the Zwenkau Green Business Park and the expansion of the Borna Industrial Park. These successful talks and the broad attention they attracted emphasise Leipzig's role as a leading business location in Europe.
