Young companies present their career opportunities

Following the consistent success of recent years, Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) is once again organising the ‘Work in Leipzig’ event this year together with Leipzig Alumni and HTWK Leipzig.

Work in Leipzig 2023 - a look back

Last year, over 80 students and graduates took the opportunity to get to know young, innovative companies from the region and plan their first steps towards their professional future. Six companies from different sectors - from IT and life sciences to start-ups - presented themselves and offered a wide range of insights into their fields of activity as well as attractive entry and career opportunities.

Networking young talents and innovative companies

This year, ‘Work in Leipzig’ is once again being organised to offer students and graduates the best possible conditions for successful networking. The event offers an excellent opportunity to get to know potential employers in an informal atmosphere and make valuable contacts. Visitors can look forward to a variety of exciting companies that are not only looking for fresh talent, but also want to present their respective corporate cultures and philosophies.

Focus 2024: IT, GreenTech, medical technology and creative industries

In 2024, the focus is on providing a stage for young and new companies from various sectors such as IT, GreenTech, medical technology and the creative industries - all companies that have been supported by the IRL in setting up in Leipzig. The aim of the event is to show students and graduates the entry opportunities in the Leipzig region and to promote dialogue between employers and young talent.

Programme – Work in Leipzig 2024

After a welcome by the Rector of Leipzig University and the Rector of HTWK Leipzig, the participating companies will be introduced in short presentations. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to discuss topics such as working hours, internships, remote jobs or lateral entry in an open Q&A session. The event offers an interactive platform where all questions are welcome.

The event will conclude with a get-together where participants can gain in-depth insights into the companies and their career opportunities in personal discussions over delicious drinks and snacks. In addition to company presentations and information stands, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking and in-depth discussions.
