The international consulting firm Ingenics Consulting (Ingenics) recently opened a new office in Leipzig. This strategic decision is intended to strengthen the company's intensive local client support and expand its regional presence. Ingenics focuses in particular on the automotive manufacturers and suppliers, aviation, high-tech, medical technology and railway sectors.

‘Leipzig plays a decisive role in our strategic development. The city offers ideal conditions to fulfil the diverse requirements and needs of our clients,’ explains Manfred Loistl, Managing Partner at Ingenics.

Cooperation with local institutions

Ingenics sees great opportunities in cooperation with local players. ‘In Leipzig, we are seeking and intensifying cooperation with local institutes and universities as well as innovative companies, particularly in the field of application software development,’ adds Ingo Richter, Director Global Key Account at Ingenics.

Ingenics plans to create 30 jobs in Leipzig over the next few years. ‘The region offers enormous potential for us, especially as Ingenics relies on highly qualified specialists. We plan to further expand the number of jobs in the coming years,’ continues Loistl.

Challenges and opportunities

Ingenics is meeting the current economic challenges with a strong focus on strategy, process and organisational consulting through to the digital transformation of business models,  products and processes in the areas of production and logistics. Leipzig offers numerous opportunities here, particularly due to the strong presence of production and logistics companies.

‘As an international management consultancy for transformation and digitalisation, we see many opportunities in Leipzig to shape the path to a successful, digital future together with our clients,’ emphasises Richter.

Plans in Leipzig

In the short and long term, Ingenics plans to realise special projects at the new location in Leipzig. One focus will be on becoming a zero-emission company in order to create a sustainable and efficient organisation. This means a company that reduces its net greenhouse gas emissions to zero by using energy-efficient technologies, utilising renewable energies and offsetting emissions through compensation projects. In addition, a roadmap for digitalisation is being pursued that includes the semiconductor industry as a new customer.

Invest Region Leipzig and Ingenics

Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) was able to support Ingenics with its launch in Leipzig. The IRL supported the company both in its search for a location and in securing skilled labour, making a valuable contribution to its successful establishment. The collaboration will continue in the future in order to further strengthen Ingenics' network.
